A Little Background…
I decided during a high school psychology class that mental health was my calling. I grew up with a diagnosis of Tourette's Syndrome and was fortunate to be treated by an amazing neurologist who first encouraged my fascination of the brain and body connection. In college I worked as an ABA therapist in the homes of children with autism and fell even more in love with the mental health field. I went on to earn a master's degree in psychiatric nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and honestly, I’ve never looked back. I love what I do. I love that I've had so many experiences; working in community mental health, crisis stabilization centers, private practice, hospital settings, and as a nursing professor. I completed my doctorate in 2015 and worked as the chief clinical officer for a growing outpatient mental health clinic for many years before starting my own practice.
I consider it a privilege to have walked alongside each person who has trusted me with some of the most intimate parts of their lives, and I hope to continue doing this work for many years to come. I’m proud to partner on this journey with my husband of 18 years, who is an expert in the healthcare technology field and honestly, one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. It’s our sincere hope that his passion of helping you use technology to improve your life, combined with my passion to help you improve your mental health, will empower you to live out your highest purpose and achieve the life you are meant to have.
